Greenhill offers quality, tranquil accommodation in the detached annexe of our period home in Heydon ( a conservation village just south of Cambridge.) It benefits from it's own entrance so it is peaceful and private The newly decorated rooms have their own bathrooms and have views of the garden and the countryside. Both rooms have flat screen TVs with freeview.The Award winning breakfast ( a full Aga cooked English breakfast or a choice from the menu ) is freshly cooked to order and served in our beamed and panelled dining room which is full of character. There is plenty of safe,off road parking for your cars.There are several excellent pubs within a short stroll and a few more within a short drive if you want to use the car. Heydon is situated on the Icknield and Harcamlow Way for those who want to enjoy a walk in the country. The wonderful university city of Cambridge with all it has to offer is easily accessible. In off peak times it's a 20 minute drive into the city, but the Trumpington Park and Ride bus into Cambridge is conveniently only 10 minutes by car. Greenhill is very close to the interesting Imperial War Museum at Duxford ( one of the most popular visitor attractions in Britain ), it is 5 minutes away by car. Audley End House and the pretty market town of Saffron Walden with it's fascinating town trail , gardens, mazes, market and pargetted houses is less than 20 minutes by car. Wimpole Hall and Anglesey Abbey are also nearby attractions. The Suffolk towns of Clare , Long Melford, Lavenham , Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket are less than an hour's drive as is the cathedral city of Ely.London can be reached by train easily within an hour with a fast train to Kings Cross.
