Days Out In Brandon and The Brecks
If you're looking for a walk on the wild side, why not explore the unique landscape of The Brecks? The Brecks is an area of historic ecological interest with over 390 square miles of heathland, Neolithic flint mines and gnarled twisted pines.
Thetford Forest is Britain's largest lowland pine forest, providing an ideal setting for a great day out, and a welcome refuge for a rich variety of birds, plants, insects and animals. Many of our visitors are attracted by the peace and tranquillity of Thetford Forest as well as the wide range of recreation facilities, including Go Ape.
The little market town of Brandon is known as the Gateway to the Brecks. As such, it has a distinctive character with many flint and brick buildings, a pretty river and all the outdoor fun of Brandon Country Park on its doorstep.
