Coffee Shops & Tea Rooms

If you are after a quick break from shopping or the perfect rendezvous, there are plenty of chic cafes for frothy coffees and fresh pastries or traditional English tea rooms serving delicious home-made cakes. Patisserie Valerie, on Bridge Street, is celebrated for its fine cakes and gateaux, and Fitzbillies, on Trumpington Street, is a world- famous cake shop; Stephen Fry tweeted about its Chelsea buns, celebrating them as ‘unmatched anywhere’.
