Auntie’s Tea Room, off Market Square, and the Orchard Tea Gardens at Granchester are Cambridge institutions not to be missed. Patisserie Valerie, on Bridge Street, is celebrated for its fine cakes and gateaux, and Fitzbillies, on Trumpington Street, is a world- famous cake shop; Stephen Fry tweeted about its Chelsea buns, celebrating them as ‘unmatched anywhere’.
