Cambridge is not only a superb place to spend your day, but also offers a full and vibrant entertainment and nightlife scene.

With something to suit all tastes, there is usually an event happening at one of Cambridge’s many entertainment venues on most nights of the week.


Stage

If you’re area of interest is one of a theatrical note, then Cambridge is home to numerous world-class stage productions, throughout the year. Cambridge Arts Theatre is one of the region’s liveliest and most exciting venues, hosting a varied programme of drama, dance, music, comedy and pantomime, as well as many shows prior to and direct from the West End.

Just around the corner the Cambridge Corn Exchange is the largest multi-purpose entertainment venue in the region. Run by Cambridge City Council, it presents up to 300 performances per year ranging from the hottest names from the rock and pop world as well as musicals, comedy, opera, ballet orchestral concerts and an annual Christmas show.

Cambridge Junction can be found on Cambridge Leisure Park - and is one of the most diverse cultural venues in the UK, a vibrant centre of contemporary culture and registered charity with a uniquely varied programme.
And if you just cant get enough stage, check out the University of Cambridge theatres, which include the Corpus Christi Playroom and the ADC Theatre on Park Street – which is the oldest of the Cambridge University playhouses.

Cinema

Cambridge is home to three cinemas - all showing a wonderfully eclectic selection of cinema from all over the world. the Cambridge Arts Picturehouse offers only the best in world cinema and is alao home to the annual Cambridge Film Festival, which takes place every September - a great place to enjoy movies produced from all over the world and a great place to enjoy film workshops and events.

You can also enjoy the best that Hollywood has to offer at Cambridge's two multiplex cinemas - Cineworld can be found at the Cambridge Leisure Park and is home to 9 screens, whilst Vue Cinema at The Grafton, has 8 screens of fun for all the family.


Bars and Clubbing

If you prefer to enjoy live music and a few drinks, then Cambridge has a whole host of bars and clubs that are full of people out to have a good time – you could make your way along the main high street and enjoy the lively clubbing scene, or relax and chill out at some of the city’s most stylish places to be.

Market Passage offers two of the city’s most lively bars, with Baroosh Bar & Kitchen and Ta Bouche taking centre stage – if you prefer live music and world class cocktails, then head over to De Luca Cucina & Bar or La Raza and enjoy coolness personified - with nightly events offering some of the best live music and entertainment in town.

Presenting 100’s of performances each year to over 100,000 customers, Cambridge Junction covers theatre, comedy, dance, live music, clubs and events for young people. Operating over 3 spaces and is one of the most exciting clubbing venues in the city - offering world renound djs and touring artists.


Traditional Pubs

Not everyone wants a full on night out on the town and there are plenty of relaxing traditional pubs and bars to enjoy - situated in the heart of the city and on the riverside, many of Cambridge’s pubs have been part of the city for over 100 years, favourites include – The Eagle, The Fountain, , The Old Spring, The Green Man, Grantchester, The Brunswick and The Mitre Tavern.
