The Jockey Club Rooms: Weddings

Built in 1750, The Jockey Club Rooms is an intrinsic part of East Anglian history, acknowledged as the spiritual home of horseracing, within the town known as the global HQ of the sport. Newmarket is a small, rural town, surrounded by acres of green grassland which is manicured by a team solely for the use of the 2,500-plus racehorses in the town.

As part of The Jockey Club, racing’s largest commercial group, The Jockey Club Rooms reinvests every penny of profit into safeguarding the future of British horseracing and protecting those employed within the sport.

The venue itself remains a private members’ club, as it has been since the eighteenth century, for its 700-strong membership who visit during key racing festivals and bloodstock auctions. During the remaining days, The Club hosts award-winning unique and elegant weddings for up to 300 guests in the Georgian fine rooms and in a marquee which can be erected within the walled garden. A highly regarded team of in-house Chefs and Butlers ensure the highest level of service is delivered for each individual wedding, from start to finish. The Club’s King’s Suite and 20 other bedrooms allow for a weekend-away style, memorable celebration, for friends and family alike to stay overnight if required.

Five fine lounge, meeting and dining rooms, 21 bedrooms including a Bridal Suite, private walled garden and terrace with space for a marquee.
