Sturmer Hall

Located on the border of Essex with Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, Sturmer Hall is Centuries old and mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The hotel reflects a place and time when service was paramount and comfort was a joy to behold.

Approached up a tree lined drive, the main house is partially moated, sits in its own 50 acres of mature gardens and grounds and has wonderful views across open countryside. Its large York stone terraces allow you to sit, relax, wind down and believe that you were anywhere in the world! Or if you fancy, why not enjoy an outdoor breakfast or ‘alfresco’ evening meal.

Sturmer Hall is an ideal location for business stays, family breaks to more formal business meetings, corporate event days, a Country wedding or a Gala Ball.

The 640 capacity Lakeside Pavilion Theatre is also home to the most popular cabaret supper shows, dinner dances and live music events in the region, and has seen many International stars top the bill over the years.

The venue is although Corporate during the week, is perfect for a gathering of up to 20 friends or family, having Exclusive Use for a long weekend, and we can include croquet on the lawn, a football for a ‘kick about’ or if you have ever fancied dancing tuition, have you thought about a ‘tango’ lesson?

All rooms at Sturmer Hall are non-smoking rooms although our Garden Rooms open directly on to secluded private terraces where guest smoking is permitted.

We say, Sturmer Hall is a little hidden gem and ‘seeing is really believing’.
