Spend a Saturday creating your own cyanotype prints in a small, hands-on workshop, with a glimpse inside the richly decorated interiors of David Parr House and its garden at lunchtime. Led by artist and printmaker Susie Turner, this beginner-friendly session explores cyanotype through observation, experimentation and making. You’ll work with natural materials, drawings and photographic elements to create striking blueprints using light and simple processes.

Cambridge Open Studios returns this July, inviting visitors to step inside artists’ studios, homes and creative workspaces across Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Ely, Saffron Walden and surrounding villages. Over four weekends, hundreds of local artists will open their doors, offering a rare opportunity to see where art is made, meet makers face-to-face and discover original work in painting, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, sculpture, photography, glass, mixed media and more. Visitors can plan their own route, explore neighbourhoods and villages, follow art trails, enjoy a day out with friends or family and buy directly from artists. Free to visit and welcoming to all, Cambridge Open Studios is one of the region’s most loved annual arts events, celebrating creativity, community and the pleasure of discovering art in the places where it is made.
