REBECA ORTEGA

“She has it all: Beauty, a stylised and flexible body, elegance, finesse, charisma, rhythmic sense that prints a way of dancing with its own identity. Rebeca Ortega’s dance defines her…” – Written by Aquí Madrid

Rebeca Ortega is an exceptional flamenco dancer and choreographer from Madrid, celebrated for her technical brilliance, creative innovation, and emotional depth in performance. A finalist at the prestigious Madrid Madroño Young Creators Dance Contest 2022 and nominated for Best Female Dancer at the Seville Stages Awards 2024, Rebeca has gained widespread recognition for her unique artistic voice in the flamenco world.

Her formal training includes studying Classical Spanish Dance at the Seville Professional Conservatory of Dance and further honing her craft at the renowned Amor de Dios flamenco academy. These formative experiences have shaped her as a versatile artist capable of seamlessly blending traditional flamenco with contemporary influences.

Rebeca’s productions, including Silence Rebellion and RAÍCES, have been met with international acclaim, earning support from the Spanish embassies and touring across the globe. She has graced prestigious venues such as the Canal Theatres in Madrid or London’s Watford Palace Theatre and was featured at the prestigious 2022 Suma Flamenca Young Festival.

As an ambassador for flamenco, Rebeca has performed and taught in Europe: Spain, Denmark, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium or Norway, and in diverse countries such as China, India, Ethiopia, or Azerbaijan, and a long list of countries, sharing the art form’s rich cultural legacy worldwide.

RAMÓN RUIZ

Ramon Ruiz is UK’s leading flamenco guitarist. He shares his art and passion for flamenco with everyone who is curious, appreciating a wonderfully diverse and interesting following.

Born in Granada and trained in Seville’s renowned flamenco tablao ‘Los Gallos’, by generation of world famous flamenco artists who are no longer with us, Ruiz continues developing his art from London, although Andalusia will always be his home.

As a highly sought after flamenco guitarist, composer, recording artist and teacher Ramon is very busy. He is a regular guest on BBC Radio 3 along with top UK venues including The London Jazz Cafe, each time producing something new for his audience.

With extraordinary dexterity and musicality in both traditional and contemporary stylistic genres, Ramón recently recorded his third album “ Calle Lunga” in Abbey Road Studio. It includes all original compositions and arrangements.

Calle Lunga was inspired by Ruiz’s journey of nearly 40 years mastering flamenco guitar internationally. His music beautifully expresses complex emotion, mastery and maturity in both composition and performance.
