Join the choristers of the Choir of St John's College for a free family concert. Children can bring a cushion and sit close to the singers!

  • 20th September 2025 - 20th September 2025
  • 11:00 am - 12:15 pm

The renowned Choristers of the Choir of St John’s College present a free, family-friendly concert designed for children. The boys and girls of the Choir aged 8–13, will introduce and perform a selection of music specially chosen to appeal to younger audiences, making this an ideal introduction to live classical music.

Families are welcome to bring a cushion and sit right in front of the Choristers to enjoy a relaxed performance in the Old Divinity School at St John’s College.

At the end of the concert, children can spend 15 minutes learning and performing a song with the Choristers and the Director of Music, Christopher Gray.

You’ll also hear about life as a Chorister and the exciting opportunity available to boys and girls currently in Years 3 and 4 to join the Choir. All Choristers receive generous scholarships to attend St John’s College School, with additional bursaries available to ensure that places are offered based on musical potential.

From 12.15pm, 15-minute appointments will be available for families who would like to speak with Christopher Gray individually to learn more about the Chorister programme and the next steps.

If you require wheelchair access please email choir@joh.cam.ac.uk for more information.

Tickets are free but capacity is limited, so booking is essential. Book a free ticket for each adult and child attending.
