Gouache Painting in Cambridge

Learn to Paint Gouache Landscapes – In Person beginners Art Class in Cambridge

  • 5th May 2025 - 19th May 2025
  • 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join me this May for a relaxing and playful art class at Together Culture in Cambridge.

We will explore painting postcard-sized landscapes using gouache – a lovely, opaque and vibrant paint that is a bit like watercolour, but easier to layer and more forgiving for beginners.

Gouache is water-based and dries with a beautiful matte finish. It is perfect for experimenting with colour and texture, and ideal if you are new to painting.

Classes run every Monday evening in May, from 6.30 to 8 pm.

All materials are provided – just bring yourself.

We will learn together, step by step, and there is plenty of time to play and explore. I would love to see you there.

There is step-free access to our ground floor space. Our first floor is accessible only by stairs.

A gender neutral toilet is available on site, accessible only by stairs.

Accessible toilets are available in the Grafton Centre (a short walking distance away from Together Culture Fitzroy). They are accessible with a Radar key.

One of the oldest surviving buildings in Cambridge is the Leper Chapel on Newmarket Road. Also known as the Chapel of St Mary Magdalene, it dates back to the 12th century and was originally used as a place to isolate victims of leprosy.
