During the class:

  • You will learn a variety of charcoal drawing techniques. Working from the large shape to the small and creating different textures (fur, scales, long hair, shine etc).
  • Each session is a guided art class, that means that we go through the drawing process together.
  • We will start with a warm up, practise the different techniques and finish with making a larger drawing.
  • Everyone will work from the same reference picture but there is still plenty of freedom to create a drawing that is unique.
  • Drawing in Charcoal is playfun and is perfect for letting go of perfectionism and finding creative flow.
  • In my classes I focus on the activity of drawing and the journey and less on the final result. You can expect the class to be calm, with lots of opportunity to ask questions and, with hands on tips.
  • You will take a handmade animal portrait drawing home.
