- Introduction to linocut printmaking and examples
- Learning to use the tools: marks, textures, and safe cutting
- Choosing or creating your design with reference images
- Transferring and carving your lino block
- Mixing ink and printing by hand
- Printing with a small craft press
- Wrapping your prints so you can take them home safely.

What will I need to bring?
All materials are provided for the workshop. Please bring old clothes to wear that you don’t mind getting messy. For health and safety reasons, please wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or open-toed shoes).
Who is this workshop for?
This 4-hour workshop is open to anyone aged 18 and over and is ideal for beginners. You don’t need any previous printmaking experience, and you don’t need to be able to draw to enjoy this workshop. This workshop involves using small sharp cutting tools. You’ll be shown how to use them safely.
How to get to the workshop?
The modern, bright venue is situated in Chesterton, a five-minute walk north of the River Cam, in Cambridge. Address: St Andrew’s Hall (The Annexe) St Andrew’s Road Chesterton Cambridge CB4 1DH. Free parking is possible on St Andrew’s Road at weekends, and bicycle parking is available on site.
