Experience the vibrant energy and rich cultural heritage of the Levant through Dabkeh, a traditional folk dance. Makani Cambridge invites you to a series of monthly Dabkeh classes in Cambridge. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, our classes are designed for everyone to enjoy.

What is Dabkeh?

Dabkeh is a captivating group dance that takes the form of a moving circle of individuals holding hands, set to rhythmic folk music. It is known for its energetic and joyous movements that bring people together in celebration.

What to Expect:

  • Beginner-Friendly: No prior knowledge or experience in Dabkeh is required.
  • Fun and Relaxed Atmosphere: Learn the basic steps of Dabkeh in a spontaneous and joyful setting.
  • Cultural Experience: Enjoy traditional Levantine Arabic Dabkeh songs and rhythms.
