Reduction Linocutting differs from Multi-block Linocutting, in that only one lino block is used to create your final print. Multi- colour images are achieved by removing the areas of your design in sequential order and overprinting with other colours. We specialise in teaching this challenging but exciting method of Linocutting, in small workshops, where you receive plenty of one-to-one tuition to help you develop your skills. As our teaching style is hands-on and practical, you will really get to grips with printmaking in this course, learning how to plan and execute a multi-colour image and working towards producing and printing a short edition of your work, over 4 consecutive Saturday mornings.
Here’s what one of our students Maggie says,
“The relaxed atmosphere was fun to learn in, and it was good to be creative with like-minded people. We were guided through the various stages with helpful suggestions to improve our work. A most enjoyable course that I would recommend to those thinking of trying it. “
We guarantee you will get great results to be proud of.
