Is Printmaking for you? Come and find out at our friendly, hands-on, introductory workshop day for people who have no experience, but would like to try both Intaglio and Relief printmaking techniques in one session.

Marmalade Print Studio has been open for a year and is now a go-to destination for printmaking in Cambridgeshire. Our studio offers a relaxed and sociable space to get creative in and learn all about the traditional artform of printmaking. You will work in a small group with lots of one-to-one tuition designed to help you decide what direction you might like to pursue as a printmaker in the future. By the end of the workshop, you will have an understanding of printmaking as an artform, be comfortable using our printmaking equipment and will have designed and produced a Drypoint Etching and a Linocut print yourself.
All materials are provided along with tea, coffee and homemade cakes, but please bring your own lunch with you. You are welcome to eat in the studio or, if it’s fine weather, to picnic in our lovely garden. Please note that although we have aprons in the studio for you to use, we recommend that you don’t wear your best clothes when you visit us, as printmaking can be a bit messy. Young people over 16 years old are very welcome if they bring an adult with them.
Getting to Marmalade is Easy
Buses from Cambridge (the T5 service operated by A2B Buses), Ely and Newmarket (the 112 operated by Stephensons Buses) stop either outside the studio, or a few minutes away. The rail station at Soham with trains from Ely is a ten-minute walk from us. If you are coming by car, there is free on street parking outside the studio on Pratt Street and two free local car parks are a short walk away.
