On Monday 23rd June at 7 pm, outstanding countertenor, Alexander Chance, together with Hughes Hall’s’ Director of Music Nigel Yandell (piano), will be offering the final concert of this academic year. Their programme explores the simple beauty and mystical darkness of England through songs by Purcell, Britten, Handel, Adès, and Butterworth. We are delighted to be welcoming Alexander – described by Gramophone magazine as staking serious claim to the title of his generation’s most exciting British countertenor – to the college and expect the concert to be very popular. Please secure your place (guests welcome) as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. More details, and to book, click here.
