Parker’s Piece Music Weekend

Come join us in the Music Marquee at the Town & Country Fair. Saturday 11am - 6pm, Sunday 11am - 5pm. Top tier local bands playing live include: Mr Griff, Rising Blues, Ghost Carnival, The 29th Funktion, The Gravy Train Trio, Angie Collins, The Lightwaves, Parliament of Wolves, Cambridge Wind Band and Lost Robins. Each day will begin with multilingual family activities from Cambridge's heritage language schools.

****Saturday 13th June****

11am – 12:00 Multilingual, family activities and information on Cambridge’s heritage language schools All welcome.

12:00 – 1:30pm Cambridge Wind Band.
Fifty piece band… that’s a lot of wind!

1:30 – 2:15pm The Rising Blues.
The hardest working Family Band in Cambridge! Funk, Rock, Soul and Blues classics.

2:15 – 3:00pm Angie Collins with guests Emanuela Di Pietro and Johny Wright.
Cambridge-based singer-songwriter and pianist Angie Collins brings melancholy as well as dark humour through her warm smokey tones reminiscent of Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse.

3:00 – 4:00pm Ghost Carnival.
Unbordered folk and roots protagonists.

4:00 – 5:00pm Parliament Of Wolves.
Expect a high energy show, catchy songs with great lyrics, blending Psychedelic Rock and Funk influences with Alternative Rock.

5.00 – 6:00pm Lost Robins.
British outlaw folk.

12:00 -1.00pm The Lightwaves.
With 16 strings and 2 voices, The Lightwaves bring you acoustic covers like you’ve never heard before!

1:00pm – 2:00pm The Gravy Train Trio.
A high energy Jazz, Funk, Soul Organ Trio.

2:00pm – 3:00pm The 29th Funktion.
Passion Mad, Psychedelic funky blues rock band, the sexiest soulful extravaganza you ever did see.

3:00 – 5:00pm Mr Griff.
Soul-firing singer-songwriter Mr Griff fronts the funkadelic Grifters, a spirited 8-piece band that are Cambridge favourites. Playing all original fusion grooves, their infectious and catchy music is guaranteed to shake the foundations of your soul.
