Release and Rise Ecstatic Dance and Workshop III

A 4-hour alcohol- and drug-free journey of movement, fascia release, nervous system calming, and ecstatic dance freedom. We begin with gentle fascia-inspired exploration, Yin-style stretching, breathwork, and somatic grounding practices to release tension, hydrate connective tissue, and support emotional balance. After a tea break and optional face-paint intention ritual, we enter the second half: a full Ecstatic Dance Wave — a free-form, conscious dance space with no steps to follow, no right or wrong, just authentic movement and self-expression. The experience closes with deep relaxation, soothing breath, and a restorative gong bath. Beginners welcome. Come as you are — and dance yourself back to freedom, ease, and aliveness.

A 4-hour journey to release tension, reconnect with your body, and move with greater freedom and ease.

We begin with fascia exploration inspired by Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains, combining movement science with embodied awareness – interoception.

Together, we will:

Explore the body’s main fascial lines and  use simple movement assessments to sense areas of tension or imbalance

Release and hydrate connective tissue through Yin-inspired poses, spirals, and playful animal-based movement

Learn four breathwork tools to support grounding, energy, and emotional balance

Practice somatic techniques to calm the nervous system and build resilience

Fascia & Emotions – Releasing What Words Cannot

Fascia is not only structural — it’s emotional.
Unfelt memories, protective patterns, and unexpressed feelings often live in the connective tissue, showing up as tightness, fatigue, or blocks.
These layers don’t always respond to talking — they open through movement, breath, and awareness.
This session offers a safe, guided space to release what your body is ready to let go.

Tea Break + Optional Face Paint Ritual

Midway, we pause for tea, reflection, and connection.
Those who wish can take part in a simple face paint ritual — a symbolic act of shedding old stories and stepping into new beginnings.
Paint your intention. Honour your journey. Move into renewal.

Ecstatic Dance Wave – Movement as Freedom

We return in circle, grounded and open, ready to step into the Ecstatic Dance Wave — a free-form, conscious dance journey where you can practice the tools you learned during the workshop.

There are no steps to follow

No right or wrong way to move

Just authentic expression and embodied presence

Supported by a carefully curated musical arc, we travel from grounding and release, through expansion and vitality, into calm stillness.

This is where the body integrates what needs integration and releases what is ready to go — using the tools we discover  during the workshop – where movement becomes medicine.

Closing Integration

We finish with soothing breath, full body guided relaxation under a 20 min of gong bath and rest, allowing your body and mind to settle and absorb the experience.
