Smokin Roses Presents: Folk in the Footlights ft Bon Armond and The Collective Shadow, MG Boulter and Luke James Williams

Folk in the Footlights is a brand new folk night for Cambridge in 2024, in association with The Cambridge Union. Bringing the illustrious history of the Footlights and Cambridge's famous folk scene together, every 6 weeks we will present 3 of the area's finest acoustic music acts, with some touring acts as well.

M G Boulter
M G Boulter is a singer songwriter living on the Thames coast in Essex, United Kingdom. His songwriting has been described as “Gorgeous, in a word” by Uncut and “Highly Recommended” by the Independent on Sunday. His second full-length album With Wolves the Lamb Will Lie was listed as one of the ‘Best Folk Albums of 2016’ by the Daily Telegraph.
M G has been a musical collaborator with the likes of Blue Rose Code, Emily Portman’s Coracle Band and The Lucky Strikes and was a touring member of US groups The Duke and the King and the Simone Felice Group.
A well-known touring act on the folk circuit, he is currently playing his new album ‘Days of Shaking’ live for the first time to audiences up and down the country.
Luke James Williams
Luke James Williams is a Cambridgeshire-based folk artist who recently played the Cambridge Folk Festival.
He is a writer of rare talent, a singer with the ability to rivet your attention. Our Blood Is Red is outstandingBob Fish, Folk Radio
