As part of the Cambridge University Global Sounds Festival, this concert presents a performance of Persian classical music featuring vocals, santoor, ney, double bass, and daf/tonbak, presented by the Cambridge Nahoft Ensemble. Drawing on the rich traditions of Iranian classical repertoire, the ensemble explores expressive melodies and rhythmic forms that reflect both the depth and beauty of Persian musical heritage. This performance is dedicated to those who lost their lives in Iran in the pursuit of freedom, and to the families they left behind.
