Celebrate the arrival of spring with a rare opportunity to discover the beauty, history, and horticultural heritage of King’s College Cambridge.

This exclusive guided experience, limited to just 20 participants, begins with a special spotlight talk inside the magnificent Chapel. Guests will enjoy an engaging introduction to the Chapel’s remarkable history, architecture, and enduring significance within the life of the College.

Following the talk, participants will embark on a 90-minute guided garden tour, offering privileged access to areas not typically open to the public. Led by members of our knowledgeable gardening team, this immersive walk will explore:

  • The Wildflower Meadow – A vibrant haven supporting biodiversity and seasonal colour
  • The Provost’s Garden – A tranquil and beautifully curated private garden space
  • The Fellows’ Garden – A historic retreat reflecting centuries of College life
  • The College Orchard – A productive and picturesque landscape rooted in tradition

Throughout the tour, guests will gain insight into the College’s horticultural initiatives, sustainability practices, and the thoughtful stewardship behind these exceptional spaces.

Admission also includes access to the Chapel and College grounds to explore at leisure, either before or after the guided experience, on a self-guided basis, allowing you time to revisit favourite views, reflect in the Chapel, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of King’s at your own pace.

This intimate spring event offers a unique chance to experience King’s College from a fresh perspective – where history, heritage, and horticulture come together in one unforgettable visit.

We regret that this tour is only available to those aged 16 and over.  Maximum 20 people per tour.
