Star Shine Night Walk

This summer, Arthur Rank Hospice Charity invites you to its much loved flagship fundraiser, the Star Shine Night Walk, returning to Cambridge on Saturday 20 June 2026.

  • 20th June 2026 - 20th June 2026
  • 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity much‑loved flagship fundraiser, the Star Shine Night Walk is back in Cambridge on Saturday 20 June 2026.

After an incredible 550 supporters took part last year, this event brings our community together not just to celebrate, but to remember. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and brighter as our community strides together, on one of the longest days of the year, to raise vital funds for the Hospice.

With a target of £60,000 we are asking you to gather your friends, family and colleagues, to fundraise. It’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday night with purpose; supporting compassionate care for those who need it most across Cambridgeshire. The event is open to all; you don’t need to have a connection with the Charity.

Starting and finishing at Shelford Rugby Club, you can choose from a 10-mile or a 5-mile route, making it an ideal outing for families, friends, and community members of all ages.

Walkers will enjoy a beautiful night walk, complete with sunset views and a sense of camaraderie. The event promises to be both uplifting and reflective, offering moments to share stories and support one another.

Registration is now open, and participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot. To register and find out more about the event, please visit arhc.org.uk/ssnw or call 01223 675888.

Star Shine Night Walk is open to anyone aged 10+ (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult). The 5-mile route is also wheelchair accessible. Four-legged friends are welcome to join you too.

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire, living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end-of-life care. Services are provided free of charge to patients and their families, helping them to make every moment count. We care for more than 3,800 patients each year at the Hospice in Cambridge, the Alan Hudson Centre in Wisbech and in patients’ own homes.

It will cost over £14 million to run our services in 2025/2026. Contracted services from the NHS are budgeted at £8.1 million but this will be reduced following a change of contract worth £829,000 a year, in vital funding.

With the help of our community, we need to raise over £6 million through donations. So, grab your trainers, set yourself a challenge for 2026 and help us raise much needed funds at this truly magnificent event for people who really need us.
