Unmissable Show: Hockney’s Normandy Masterpieces at MODO

We are thrilled to announce MODO Gallery’s landmark exhibition, centred around the stunning Normandy landscapes of David Hockney - shown in Cambridge for the first time.

  • 17th June 2025 - 30th January 2026

About Hockney’s Normandy Landscapes

For several years, David Hockney has lived and worked in Normandy, producing vibrant, seasonal landscapes using both traditional media and digital tools like the iPad. Showcased in major international exhibitions- from Rouen to Paris’s Fondation Louis Vuitton- these works reflect his ongoing fascination with light, perspective, and the rhythm of nature. His series ‘The Arrival of Spring in Normandy’ (2020) reveals an artist in full creative bloom. Working swiftly on his iPad, Hockney captured the changing seasons- blossom-laden trees, vibrant greens, and shifting light.

Exhibition Highlights

– A major new Normandy installation by Hockney, custom-built for MODO’s expanded three-floor space- a bold meeting of scale, colour, and innovation.
–A curated conversation surrounding Hockney’s fearless exploration of media

–A dedicated Moon installation, featuring Hockney’s Moon iPad drawings and glowing moons that illuminate the gallery
