The Dumpling Tree

The Dumpling Tree is an independent, family-run Chinese bar-restaurant based in Cambridge, with a focus on the bold, aromatic flavours of Yunnan and South-Western China. Our menu centres around handmade dumplings, vibrant sharing dishes and comforting classics, all designed to be enjoyed socially.

Our space is relaxed and welcoming — equally suited to casual lunches, long dinners with friends, date nights, and celebratory occasions. Alongside the food, we offer a thoughtfully curated drinks list, featuring cocktails, wines and spirits chosen to complement our menu and mood.

Beyond day-to-day dining, The Dumpling Tree is also a place for experiences. Throughout the year we host seasonal celebrations, cultural events and late-night socials that transform the restaurant into something a little more playful and unexpected.
