High Lodge Thetford Forest

High Lodge Thetford Forest is between Thetford and Brandon on the B1107 and is the Forestry Commission’s premier recreation site in the East of England. Open every day, except Christmas day. Check on line or on site for opening times.
Start planning your day with a friendly welcome at the Information Point. You can buy trail maps and activity packs, find out about events and get all the info you need. In June and July High Lodge plays host to some of the country’s top acts so you can hear live music in this top location.
WildPlay at High Lodge offers something for children of every age and ability. Lots of great play equipment will keep them busy for hours - Follow that Sound trail, sand play, giant swings and outdoor pyramid slides.
To discover Thetford Forest on foot, try the pine trail, the Nature trail or go on the six-mile Fir trail linked with the Beech trail - all follow wide open paths. Practise your map reading skills on our orienteering course. For younger adventurers, there’s the Squirrel Scamper trail. To discover Thetford Forest by bike, start with the Shepherd trail or the poacher trail. Test your mountain bike skill on the Beater trail or Lime Burner trail. Test your limits at the Bike Pits. Site entry fee per vehicle applies and an annual Discovery Pass is available to purchase. Pay-to-play activities and food services are provided by business partners on site.
