Road Directions

By Road:

From South: M11 runs south from Cambridge to Stansted Airport, the M25 & London. As Cambridge is notoriously tricky to park in, we recommend taking exit J11 and following signs for Trumpington Park & Ride. Take a bus into the city centre and alight at Downing Street. From here there is a short walk along Downing Street to the crossroads with Trumpington Street. Cross the road and walk straight down Mill Lane (opposite Downing Street). At the end the lane you'll find both Scudamore's Mill Lane punt station & boatyard.

Walking Directions:

The Mill Lane punting station (College Backs self-hire punts and tours) and main boatyard (self-hire canoes, kayaks, punts and rowboats for Grantchester) are located at the southern end of the College Backs, between the Anchor pub on Silver Street Bridge and the Mill pub on Mill Lane. The punting stations are a 5 minute walk from the Queen’s Road coach bays and Grand Arcade car park.

Public Transport Directions

Cambridge Railway Station is a 5 to 10 minute bus journey, followed by a short walk, from all of our punt stations – disembark at St. Andrew’s Street, adjacent to John Lewis. From here it's a 10 minute walk to our Mill Lane punting station.
