St Ives Electric Riverboat Company

Boat Cruises on the Great Ouse River from the Quay at the Old Riverport in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. Boats are licensed to carry up to 12 passengers, helmed by RYA qualified (or equivalent) professional boatmen.

Hourly Cruises   Every day hourly cruises, from April 1st to October from St Ives Quay to Hemingford Grey lock and back with a rich commentary included.

Trips start at 11 am and the last trip is at 5 pm, we can be tempted to vary this to suit you.

Wildlife Cruises   ‘Early bird’ trips, in April & May with the Cambs Beds & Northants Wildlife Trust,

start at 6am on - Sat April 8th, 15th, 22rd and 29th  -  & May 6th, 13th .

They are 2 hour trips with expert commentary by CBNWT and our our local Holt Island Nature Reserve members. We list bird 'sightings' and 'hearings' on the trip and follow up with breakfast at the River Tearooms or local cafe and a detailed, often excited chat.

Botany, Bugs & Butterflies’, Trips along the riverbanks of the Great Ouse with Marney Hall our local botanist & bug expert. Three trips this year all from 11am -1pm, TBD 2017

‘Evening Wildlife Expeditions’, July & August. We set off in search of Daubenton's Bats, Owls, Insects, Otters, Stars & the ISS on clear nights. ‘Batty Dave’ from Hinchingbrooke Wildlife & Nature Park guides us on wildlife, Chris Morgan on Astronomy.
Dates for this are Fridays TBD 2017 with an extra trip if over subscribed.

Luxury Cruises and Parties
We also run a luxury twelve seated, lounge style, river catamaran for those very special family or group party times. Bring refreshments and nibbles or we can supply food from your favourite local restaurant.
Birthday Parties
Pirate trips’ and 'Princess trips' for kids parties. Includes treasure hunts and special princess attensions. These are unforgettable, bring a picnic.

Hen Parties
This is one of our most popular trips. Bring your own refreshments and nibbles.
