Traditional Punting Company

The Traditional Punting Company was started by locals who wanted to showcase the best and most beautiful parts of Cambridge from the most unique perspective – the River Cam.

We offer a wide range of tours to suit your occasion and group size, depending on whether you would like the luxury of a private boat or the flexibility of a shared tour, we will try and accommodate all.

Our tours will take you along the College "Backs", seeing all the Cambridge Colleges that are situated along the river, linked by famous bridges such as the Mathematical Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs.

The tour itself departs from Quayside, Cambridge and is a return tour, lasting approximately 50 minutes. During your tour your experience chauffeur will regale you with all the historical facts and stories behind the creation of Cambridge University.

Booking online in advance will save you up to 50% compared to our prices on the day when visiting our check-in desk at Quayside. If you have any questions or would like to find out more about the tour itself, then please to do not hesitate to contact us.

If you would like to see Cambridge from a different perspective and make lasting memories of one of the best cities in the world, we’re here to help.

It is a city centre location.

The departure point, Quayside, offers an array of cafes to purchase food and drink to take on board the punt. It also has a public toilet which punting customers can use before their tour.

There are no parking facilities, so customers can either use the park and ride services around the city or one of the multi-storey care parks in the city centre.
