The North Pole Christmas Festival

The North Pole

17th November - 8th January

A winter festival vibe where visitors of all ages can chill and enjoy cool activities is promised at this year’s North Pole Festival at Parkers Piece, Cambridge.

This year visitors can enjoy the thrills of skating in style across the outdoor ice rink, whilst the majestic sky wheel offers stunning views across the city.

Traditional family fun fair rides, extreme rides and a separate children’s zone offer fun for all the family, with the Alpine Lodge offering a cosy retreat with winter warmers.

The Festival is open daily from 17th November 2017 to 8th January 2018 and celebrates the traditions and entertainments that make the season special.

The popular attraction will focus on a relaxed festival atmosphere to encourage more people to chill out and enjoy all it has to offer throughout the festive period.

Special Mamas and Papas events for younger families to enjoy the freedom on the ice during the day and learn new skating skills will also be run. Family skate tickets are available at £36.00*.

The North Pole Cambridge Festival will offer festive fun for everyone with a wealth of entertainment including food stalls selling fast and tasty treats from crepes to churros and an authentic German Swing Grill.

The event is an ideal opportunity to meet up with friends and family over the festive period; host your office party with a difference; or even treat someone special to a date skate. Visitors will also have the opportunity to have a special souvenir photograph to capture the festive moment.

The North Pole Cambridge Festival is working in partnership with Heart FM, Cambridge News and Cambridge BID, and has welcomed thousands of visitors to the city.

Richard Elmer, from The North Pole Cambridge Festival, said: “This year we are working very hard to offer visitors a different type of festive experience and the festival will be focused around celebrating winter and our traditions. There are lots of Christmas markets in the UK and this year we want to bring a new and look and feel and draw on the popular festival vibe.

“We are hoping to attract more visitors during the period and are delighted to be working with local businesses to make this an event for all of the city to enjoy.”

Tickets are on sale now, head to www.thenorthpolecambridge.co.uk. Adult ice skating tickets are priced at £11.50 and children under 12 are £9.50. A Family Skate Ticket (for 4) is available for £36*.
