Join us on Thursday 14th July at Gonville Hotel for An Evening with Henry Blofeld. Taking place in our delightful, heated garden marquee, this promises to be a fantastic evening in the company of a broadcasting legend.

Henry Blofeld OBE

When it comes to the world of sports journalism and broadcasting, there are few figures as well known or as well loved as Blowers. Henry began his career in 1963 reporting on the England tour to India for The Guardian and went on to become a regular fixture on TMS between 1972 and 2017. With decades spent behind the broadcast mic, Henry has a wealth of tales from which to draw and at this event you can expect to hear some of those stories delivered in his inimitable style.

The event

On arrival you will be greeted with a welcome drink and canapés followed by a fabulous two course meal. After the meal, Blowers will regale you with tales from his decades at the forefront of cricket journalism.

Tickets for this event are £45 per person with £5 from every sale being donated to The Royal Anglian Regiment Benevolent Charity.

You can reserve your tickets right now online at https://www.gonvillehotel.co.uk/an-evening-with-henry-blofeld/ or you can call the hotel direct on 01223 366611. Places are of course limited, so early booking is advised.

Forming part of St John’s College, The Bridge of Sighs is one of Cambridge’s most famous landmarks. It shares little with its Venetian namesake, but this Gothic Revival style structure is a beauty in its own right, best admired by punt.
