Autumn Vase Floristry Workshop

Create a stunning and impressive Autumnal display

  • 14th October 2023
  • 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Level: Beginners

Sounds so simple – a vase of flowers! For anyone who has bought flowers and then tried to arrange them into an impressive vase design will know that it is not always that easy.  Which vase, how tall, how do I get them to stay where I put them; all questions that we regularly hear from the most ardent flower lover.

This Saturday morning workshop will literally untangle your flower questions, look at the best ways to display your flowers and explain some simple rules about which flowers to buy at the supermarket, local market or even from your own garden (and hedgerow).  We look at working with colour and choosing a vase that will always give you a fantastic display.

You will create a natural flowing vase (foam free) arrangement using seasonal flowers.   We will load you up with tips on how to look after them and ensure they last as long as possible.   Of course, you get to take your flowers home, vase and all!

“I loved it! Lots of practical tips – as a complete novice, invaluable!  The final outcome was far beyond anything that I could have achieved on my own.  But, so easy and manageable.  I will definitely feel braver at home.  Calm and helpful teaching style.  Highly recommend.”
Pippa Crichton

As always fabulous morning, fun, informative and well run. Thank you, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Did you know?

Bringing the river to life in raucous style each June, ‘The Bumps’ are a chaotic series of rowing races. In this Cambridge tradition, which dates back to the early 19th Century, boats set out in single file and must catch and touch, or ‘bump’, the boat ahead without being caught by the rowers on their tail.
