Bank Holiday Monday Asian Tea Party

Welcome to the Bank Holiday Monday Asian Tea Party at Together Culture in Cambridge for an enjoyable, family-friendly afternoon dedicated to International Tea Day (May 21st). Our Asian Tea Party is an opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring over a chat and a shared cup of tea. Whether you're a tea enthusiast or simply looking for an interesting way to spend your afternoon and meet new people, this event promises a fun, relaxed and engaging experience. This Tea Party celebrates community, culture, and the simple and widely shared joy of tea. Hosted by ESEA Cambridge, this gathering is an opportunity to unwind and connect with others in a friendly environment. ESEA Cambridge is dedicated to supporting people from East and Southeast Asian backgrounds in Cambridgeshire. We particularly welcome anyone from these communities AND we also welcome those who do not identify as ESEA. Whether you're a seasoned tea connoisseur or new to the world of tea, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Please Note: We aim to accommodate all attendees, but please contact us in advance if you have any dietary preferences or allergies. If someone in your party prefers tea to coffee, please let us know so that this can be provided. Children’s activities will also be provided. *Vegan and Halal options available.* ESEA Cambridge aims to provide community events free of charge or as at low a cost as possible. There is a small charge to cover expenses for this event. Tickets start from £3.50. Please choose the pricing tier that suits your circumstances.

What Tea Are You?

We start the event with an activity that helps you discover which tea best represents you! It’s a great icebreaker and a chance to meet like-minded tea drinkers.

Decorate Your Mug (BYO mug!)

Gain inspiration from the visuals around you and get creative in decorating the mug you brought with you. We’ll provide coloured pens to decorate your tea mug. It is not only a tribute to Asia’s favourite drink, it’s also a way to upcycle our preloved mugs!

Iced Tea Tasting – Getting Ready for Summer

As we welcome the warmer days, explore a variety of refreshing iced teas. This is a great opportunity to share our summer plans and what you want to see for the ESEA community this summer.

Tea Pot Quiz – Learning About Tea

An interactive and informative tea game with a prize for the winner! It’s a fun way to learn about different types of tea and the best time to drink them.

Tea and Cake!

Throughout the event, various teas will be available for you to enjoy alongside a delicious piece of cake (halal and vegan options available). It’s the perfect pairing to complement your tea experience.
