Beginners Floristry Taster Day

An Introduction to floristry...

  • 16th February 2024 - 16th February 2024
  • 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Level: Beginners

Looking for a general overview of floristry and have no idea what course you really need or want to do?  Our popular one day beginners floristry taster is designed to introduce you to floristry with lots of practise during the day.  During the day you will create a hand-tied bouquet using biodegrable packaging a buttonhole design and a seasonal arrangement in  a ceramic container using chicken wire.  These are designs that you can replicate at home using flowers from your own garden or local flower market.

DETAILS

The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage, wrappings and containers that you need to complete the item(s).

You will also be provided with tools to use during the day.   If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased on the day.

We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day.

We would recommend wearing  comfortable shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)

You will need to bring a packed lunch with you.  Hot and cold drinks are provided.

This course is held at The Cambridge Flower School, Newton Hall, Cambridge CB22 7ZE
