Kids, of all ages, are invited to join us for an insect-themed, summertime tea and fun craft!

It’s summertime and that means it’s the season for all our creepy-crawly and fluttery friends to make their appearance in McDougall’s Cottage garden…but at a tea too?! That’s crazy!

Kids, of all ages, are invited to join us for an insect-themed, summertime tea. We’ll be enjoying lots of tasty treats, including bug-themed veggie snacks, finger-sized ham and cheese sandwiches, your choice of either tea, or a refreshing cold drink AND the chance to nibble on some real crickets (if you dare)! We’ll have nutritious and delicious cookies made with ground cricket flour and, if you are feeling adventurous, you can even try a crunchy whole-roasted cricket!

All kids who join us, can also make a fun insect-themed craft!

Reservations are required and space is limited, so reserve your spot now!

PLEASE NOTE: Individuals who have shellfish allergies SHOULD NOT eat products made with crickets.

To assist staff with event set-up: If the members of your party are purchasing tickets individually, rather than as a group, please email us, in advance of the tea, so we can be sure to seat all the members of your party together mcdougall@regionofwaterloo.ca
