Big Deal Comedy, the award winning Cambridge based comedy club have joined forces with the Cambridge Women’s Resource Centre to celebrate their 40th Anniversary!

The Venue
The Meadows Community Centre has only recently opened, having had a complete rebuild from its previous standing, it now houses an incredible theatre room fully kitted out and space for 150 people!

The Comedy
Your night will be hosted by Stephanie Laing, Stephanie is best described as goofy and peculiar, and her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.

“Gloriously silly … wonderfully unpretentious” Broadway Baby
“Definitely one to watch.” Three Weeks

Headliner – Harriet Kemsley
Harriet is an award winning comedian, writer and actress. She has also supported some of her heroes on their nationwide tours, like Katherine Ryan, Stephen Merchant and Isy Suttie. You might have seen her on; 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Bobby & Harriet Get Married, Comedy Central at The Comedy Store, Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, The Radio1 Comedy Lounge, BBC3 Comedy Marathon, Radio2 Funny in a Hurry, The One Show Edinburgh Special and Kevin Hart’s LOL Live.
