Join us at this workshop where we will explore how to effectively build a strong social media presence in STEMM. A strong social media profile can provide many benefits for those working in STEMM: it can open the door for researchers to make new connections and collaborations, and it can also be a way to get visibility with recruiters seeking talent for new job openings.

At this workshop, our speakers Sue Keogh Director of award winning digital marketing agency Sookio and Anna Drangowska-Way Event Manager and Science Communicator will share how they are using social media platforms and what the effective steps are to build a strong social media presence.

The workshop will also involve dedicated discussion of specific case studies where attendees will gain practical tips to make the best of their social media activities.

By the end of this workshop attendees will:

– Understand the importance of a social media presence for their professional path.

– Gain tips on how to start and strengthen their presence on social media, to maximize their opportunities for networking and to be noticed by recruiters.
