Make a Book with Katy and Kath

Join artists and printmakers, Katy Drake and Katherine van Uytrecht to produce your own A6 pamphlet with hand-printed covers.

  • 17th February 2024 - 17th February 2024
  • 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn how to create a small handstitched booklet using a pamphlet stitch.
  • Be inspired by the David Parr House patterns and print multiple decorative book covers, either soft or hard, using monoprint or lino print techniques. These covers can be used for your newly made pamphlet and a book from home that you can bring along to the workshop (please ensure the book is A5 or smaller).
  • Monoprint your covers, use lino blocks or both. You will have the option to cut your own small lino block for tiling on the cover or use some pre-cut blocks prepared by Katy and Kath.
  • Enjoy refreshments, tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day. Please bring a packed lunch
  • Walk through David Parr House (optional).
  • Go home with illustrated instructions would be included for the pamphlet.
