Ah, the cinema: excitement, romance, thrills, surprise!  From Star Wars (of course – after all, there’s a big hint in the title of this concert) to Schindler’s List, Chariots of Fire to Henry V, Jurassic Park to The Magnificent Seven.  Tonight you’ll experience all the images and emotions conjured up by the best of film music.  In a concert for adults and children alike, Ely Sinfonia brings you the magic of the silver screen.  Back to the Future, Tron: Legacy and The Fellowship of the Ring are all in the programme – not to mention ET.  Sit back, relax and imagine your favourite films in the glorious surroundings of Ely Cathedral.  May the Fourth be with you!

with Steve Bingham, conductor, and Ely Sinfonia

Did you know?

One of the most famous figures in English history, Oliver Cromwell, was laid to rest at Westminster Abbey, but his decapitated head is buried in the grounds of Sidney Sussex College in Cambridge. Grisly but true!
