Stapleford Village Show

Stapleford Village Show - part of the Stapleford Village Weekend, celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The theme this year is "Learning how to look after our plant" A traditional village show. Lots of classes to enter including home grown vegetables, flowers, flower arranging, handicraft, photography etc. Craft stalls, village cafe, BBQ, tug of war, circus skills workshop, beat the goalie and many other activities. Events start at 1pm with a dog show. Come and spend a relaxing afternoon with us celebrating.

Stapleford Village Show

A traditional village event that invites people to enter  into numerous classes including categories of homegrown fruit and vegetable, home grown flowers, flower arranging, home baked produce, handicraft and photography.  Each class is displayed in the marquee, judged and cups awarded.  Along side the show are craft stalls, community stalls,  traditional country fair games, tug of war, circus skills workshops etc.  Come and join us for a fun afternoon, enjoy the village café, or BBQ.

Did you know?

First World War poet Rupert Brooke studied at King’s College, Cambridge, and spent time living in Grantchester. He was so enamoured with the Cambridgeshire village he penned one of his most famous works, The Old Vicarage, about his home there.
