Voxcetera: Sacred Music & Folk Songs for Choir & Harp

An evening of uplifting choral music with Voxcetera chamber choir and harpist Gabriella Jones

Join acclaimed choir Voxcetera and award-winning harpist Gabriella Jones for an evening of uplifting choral music, in the beautiful St Mary’s Church, Newmarket.

The concert opens with sublime sacred music by composers including Mozart, Bruckner and Purcell, spanning four centuries from Thomas Tallis (court composer to Henry VIII and Elizabeth I) to the joyful sounds of contemporary composer Ola Gjeilo. The second half celebrates folk songs from around the British Isles including favourites such as O Danny Boy and Loch Lomond, in sparkling arrangements by Vaughan Williams, Britten and John Rutter, as well as traditional English madrigals.

Drinks will be available at the interval.
