‘She is totally a jazz singer… her lyrical phrasing is masterfully varied from chorus to chorus’

Jazz Rag Magazine

Born in London, Zoe learned her craft in New York, initially with the incomparable Barry Harris and then by singing in small Manhattan venues with great musicians such as Harry Allen and Joe Cohn. She returned to the UK and established herself on the London jazz scene with her first album ‘Looking For A Boy’. Zoe’s new album Blue Town is a selection of bittersweet songs, the lyrics of which capture our moods whether we are reminiscing or daydreaming, hopeful or heartbroken; and features multi-award winning guitarist Jim Mullen together with the incomparable Ross Stanley on Hammond organ.

The repertoire includes classic standards in fresh arrangements, Zoe’s beautiful voice set against the rich layers of the organ and guitar lines making this trio sound like a ‘mini orchestra’.

‘The voice..… above all, for me, she is just fantastically cool…’
