College Rooms

Clare Hall

Clare Hall is a college for advanced study at the University of Cambridge. We have beautiful grounds and gardens to explore. A British architect and long-time resident of Sweden, Ralph Erskine, was enlisted to build a resolutely modern community within Cambridge’s history-rich landscape.

Stay with us

Clare Hall sits in tranquil surroundings on Herschel Road, a leafy residential road to the west of Cambridge. The College is only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre and has its own indoor swimming pool, gym, dining hall and bar.

We offer modern accommodation with a selection of single and double rooms and some self-contained flats in 1960s-influenced architecture. Our buildings are in a pretty garden setting with traditional, period and listed buildings as neighbours. A large common room is available for guests to use, in which you can relax and enjoy a hot or cold beverage.

Host an event

Clare Hall has a number of rooms which are available for public hire, allowing non-members the chance to experience the unique feel of the College.
