Those living, working and visiting the area near Cambridge Station will soon be able to enjoy CB1’s first regular farmers’ market, hosted at Station Square. Launching on Friday 1 September 2023, the brand new farmers’ market will be at Station Square on the first Friday of every month. The monthly market, run by reputable local operator Farmers Fayres, will feature a selection of stalls run by local farms, producers, artisans and makers, offering high-quality food, drink and crafts which have been handpicked from across the county of Cambridgeshire.
The pedestrianised piazza outside 3&4 Station Square recently opened to the public as the latest part of the CB1 development along Station Road, Cambridge. The welcoming space, located opposite Cambridge Station, and close to popular amenities like Gail’s Bakery, is already proving to be an attractive focal point for visitors and residents of Cambridge alike – with seating, greenery, and community events like Make Music Day taking centre stage on the Square.
From September, Station Square will become a monthly destination for a proper market, too. Open from 11am to 2pm on the first Friday of the month, the farmers’ market will add something special to your usual weekend shopping list. You’ll find the best quality vegetables and meat fresh from local farms, meet the people behind some of Cambridgeshire’s finest produce, browse carefully-selected artisan cheeses, authentic deli items from further afield, and discover beautifully crafted gifts and homeware made by small businesses you didn’t know you had on your doorstep.
